1. What are the benefits of having the IDL? +
The International Translation of Driver’s License is printed in multiple languages: the six United Nations official languages (English, French, Spanish, Russian, Arabic and Chinese) as well as German, Italian, Portuguese, Swedish, Greek, Farsi and Korean.
You can travel abroad and show it to officials in foreign countries to help them interpret your native Driver’s License. The IDL is useful for car rental and car insurance in many countries. International Translation is not a standalone, non-official document and valid only with your valid native driver license, therefore you need to carry both documents with you all the time.
2. What are requirements for obtaining an International Driver's License Translation? +
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must have a valid and active driver’s license issued by a government agency
- Must submit: a color photo, a copy of both sides of you driver's license/permit and a signature

3. What are the difference between regular style and golden digital style document? +
- Golden digital style document has a chip with your information in compliance with the ISO/IEC 7816 international standard for Smart Cards.
- The documents also look different – please check our samples.
4. How long does it take to receive your document? +
We’ll process your application within 24 hours after we’ll get all requirements. This time doesn’t include the shipping time.
5. Do you ship internationally and how long does the shipment take? +
Yes, we ship internationally via DHL Express or FedEx International – these two shipment methods provide tracking information and takes approximately 3-5 business days to deliver. The price for this shipment starts at $45 and up (depending on the destination).
We can also ship via International Regular Mail; this type of shipment does not offer the tracking information and may take 2-4 weeks to deliver, the cost for this mail is $6.
6. What payment methods do you accept? +
We accept all major credit cards such as Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express credit and debit cards. If you do not have credit or debit card, you can make the payment via check or money order, PayPal, wire transfer or money gram.
